Construction Foreman

Qualifications

• Diploma in Project Management; degree in construction management or related field preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar role in the construction industry.
• Must be skilled and experienced in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion.
• Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily on-site operations to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Communicate effectively with the Projects Coordinator and Construction Manager to align on project objectives and timelines.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship by closely monitoring all aspects of the construction process.
• Inspect work for adherence to plans, specifications, and quality standards and Identify and resolve any issues or defects promptly to ensure project integrity.
• Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment to avoid delays, Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and effectively and implement and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment
• Conduct regular safety inspections and meetings to ensure compliance with safety regulations and address any safety concerns immediately and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, labor hours, and materials used
• Provide regular progress reports to the Projects Coordinator and Construction Manager
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation and close-out procedures, Lead, mentor, and motivate the construction crew to maintain high levels of performance and morale
• Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and project requirements, conduct regular site meetings to update team members on project progress and address any issues.
