Chemical Design Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent acceptable by User Organization.
• Passing the National Licensure would be beneficial
• Knowledgeable in water and waste water treatment design/calculation related software
• Shall be well verse with related International Engineering and Construction Codes and Standards
• Including International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, American Water Works Association (AWWA) and Water Environment Federation (WEF)
• Ten (10) years’ experience from the date of qualification in chemical engineering laboratory and analysis work, raw/drinking water product analysis, sewage water treatment and advance water treatment, water analysis and AC plant water treatment

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and improve chemical manufacturing processes
• Evaluate equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Conduct research to develop new and improved manufacturing processes
• Establish safety procedures for those working with dangerous chemicals
• Perform tests and monitor the performance of processes throughout production
• Troubleshoot problems with chemical manufacturing processes
• Estimate production costs for management
• Develop processes for separating components of liquids and gases, or for generating electrical currents, by using controlled chemical processes
• Prepare reports, flow diagrams, and charts, detailing all processes and reactions
