CATERING SUPERVISORS
Qualifications:
- Male applicants
- Minimum of 3 years work experience
- Should have several years of experience in the catering or food service industry.
- Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent is usually the minimum educational requirement.
- Must have strong understanding of food preparation, menu planning, and food safety is essential.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are critical to manage a team of catering staff effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills are important for working closely with clients and ensuring their needs are met.
- Proficiency in computer software for event planning, record-keeping, and communication is beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to plan and organize catering services for various events, such as weddings,
corporate meetings, parties, and more. - Supervise and lead catering staff, including servers, bartenders, chefs, and kitchen assistants.
- Assign roles and responsibilities, provide training, and ensure staff adhere to safety and hygiene
standards. - Assist clients in selecting appropriate menus based on their preferences and event requirements.
- Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient menu preparation and presentation.
- Oversee the setup, organization, and breakdown of event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens,
decorations, and equipment. - Ensure that everything is arranged according to the client’s specifications.
- Maintain high food quality and presentation standards.
- Conduct food tastings, inspect food presentation, and address any issues promptly
- Ensure that guests receive exceptional service and handle customer feedback or complaints.
- Address any concerns and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Monitor expenses, control costs, and stay within the budget for each event.
- Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure that the catering operation complies with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and permits.
- Conduct regular safety training for staff.
- Maintain a strict schedule to ensure that events run smoothly and on time. Coordinate with the client to manage event timelines.
