CATERING SUPERVISORS

Qualifications:

• Male applicants
• Minimum of 3 years work experience
• Should have several years of experience in the catering or food service industry.
• Experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent is usually the minimum educational requirement.
• Must have strong understanding of food preparation, menu planning, and food safety is essential.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills are critical to manage a team of catering staff effectively.
• Exceptional customer service skills are important for working closely with clients and ensuring their needs are met.
• Proficiency in computer software for event planning, record-keeping, and communication is beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to plan and organize catering services for various events, such as weddings,
  corporate meetings, parties, and more.
• Supervise and lead catering staff, including servers, bartenders, chefs, and kitchen assistants.
• Assign roles and responsibilities, provide training, and ensure staff adhere to safety and hygiene
  standards.
• Assist clients in selecting appropriate menus based on their preferences and event requirements.
• Coordinate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure efficient menu preparation and presentation.
• Oversee the setup, organization, and breakdown of event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens,
  decorations, and equipment.
• Ensure that everything is arranged according to the client’s specifications.
• Maintain high food quality and presentation standards.
• Conduct food tastings, inspect food presentation, and address any issues promptly
• Ensure that guests receive exceptional service and handle customer feedback or complaints.
• Address any concerns and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
• Monitor expenses, control costs, and stay within the budget for each event.
• Keep track of inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Ensure that the catering operation complies with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and permits.
• Conduct regular safety training for staff.
• Maintain a strict schedule to ensure that events run smoothly and on time. Coordinate with the client to manage event timelines.
