ASPHALT LAYER

Qualifications:

• Safe and efficient operation of paving equipment such as rollers, pavers, and plate compactors.
• Proper techniques for laying, raking, and compacting hot and cold mix asphalt.
• Good communication skills in English.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares, forms, reinforces, places, levels, finishes, cures, and joints all types of concrete flatwork
• Operates a variety of powered equipment including ride‐on finishing machines and laser‐guided screeds
• Specializes in the application of all horizontal concrete surface finishes
• Repairs and restores existing concrete surfaces and structures
• Inspect surfaces for pouring issues.
• Monitoring the effects of the weather on the curing process.
• Applies sealing and hardening components.
• Safely operates power equipment to ensure the concrete is compacted.
• Estimating the time for completion of the project.
• Fixing the patches and holes in the concrete.
